Wheel bearings usually come in pairs of inner and outer bearings. They allow your wheels to turn freely over thousands of miles by cushioning the contact between the wheel and the spindle it sits on with frictionless bearings and grease.
To be able to do both of this job, the bearings must be in near perfect condition. The seals must also be leak free to keep the lubricant inside the bearings and contaminants out.
The first symptom of wheel bearing trouble is noise. There is usually a rumbling, growling, chirping or cyclic noise of some kind that will come from the vicinity of the wheels. If you experience these problems or have any concerns, IC Garage & Tyre Centre is here to help!
